University of Nevada-Las Vegas v. Colorado State

FORT COLLINS, Colorado, February 1. THE UNLV women's swimming and diving team closed out the dual meet regular season with a 176-123 victory at Mountain West Conference rival Colorado State. With the win, the Rebels improved their season record to 6-3, and 5-2 in conference action.

UNLV would finish the day winning a total of 13 of 16 events. Leading the way were five double-event winners. Bailey Kuestermeyer won the 1000 free in 10:24.94, and the 500 free in 5:08.04. Amanda Weinbrecht swept the backstroke events, taking the 100 in 56.70 and the 200 in 2:03.60, while Kim Bonney won the 100 breast in 1:04.85 and the 200 breast in 2:20.71. Ana Dangalakova took the 200 free in 1:54.15 and the 200 IM in 2:09.29, while Marina Sandback claimed the 50 free in 23.71, and the 100 fly in 56.75.

The other victories came from Megan Hunt-Higgins in the 100 free (52.28), and in both relays. The 200 medley relay of Weinbrecht, Bonney, Sandback, and Hunt-Higgins swam a time of 1:44.89, while Hunt-Higgins, Sandback, Bonney, and Marva Harpak won the 400 free relay in 3:29.28.
