EU Swimming Invitational Completes Second Year -- November 19, 2007

LIEGE, Belgium, November 19. THE EU Swimming Invitational, which is a swim meet welcoming swimmers of all ages and abilities, hosted its second-annual event in Liege, Belgium from Nov. 3-4. The inaugural edition took place in Paris, France last year in October.

The swim meet, while centered around the competition in the pool, is a festival that allows European swimmers to participate in an international event and to meet and share their interests during the event. As an invitational, it has extended outside of Europe with swimmers from various other countries including the United States.

Juliana Galan, a graduate of Johns Hopkins University, created the project. Galan initially organized the competition as a part of her studies, but the meet has grown.
