Dave Durden, Fred Bousquet and Training with Snorkels Highlight Technique Articles -- November 4, 2007

PHOENIX, Arizona, November 4. THE Swimming Technique section of the November issue of Swimming World Magazine leads off with a Q&A interview with Dave Durden, the new head men's coach at California. Durden talks about his plans for this season, working with the legendary Nort Thornton, his coaching philosophy and goals for his first season as head man for the Golden Bears.

The "How They Train" portion of this section highlights Durden's swimming pupil, Fred Bousquet, who was the first swimmer in history to break 19.00 in the 50 yard free. Included in this piece are keen insights into the type of training utilized and a sample of the season training outline that resulted in such a jaw-dropping performance.

Swimming World Magazine's Technical Advisor Glenn Mills takes a closer look at a new piece of training equipment currently creating quite a buzz in the sport.
