Swimming Australia, Elka Graham Update

BELCONNEN, Australia, October 30. IN the latest stage of the Elka Graham saga, Swimming Australia has learned from its lawyers that it cannot force Graham to reveal who offered her performance-enhancing drugs, according to an article in the Herald Sun.

Recently, Graham made her claim that she was offered performance-enhancing drugs prior to the 2004 Athens Olympic Games, but would not come clean with who actually offered her the illicit substances. For more on the original story, click here.

In the most recent article from the Herald Sun, writer Rebecca Williams reports that the Australian Sports Anti-Doping Authority and Swimming Australia's top brass Glenn Tasker met yesterday and decided that they could not force Graham to open up.

However, current codes of conducts in place would allow for an athlete to be forced to give up this type of information under the World Anti-Doping Agency's Code.
