COLORADO SPRINGS, Colorado, October 15. USA Swimming today released the nominations for the 2007 Golden Goggle Awards, a red carpet event celebrating the accomplishments of top American swimmers in 2007. The star-studded celebration will take place at the Beverly Hilton in Beverly Hills, Calif., on Sunday, Nov. 18, and will feature U.S. Olympic swimmers as well as entertainment industry celebrities. Late night talk show host Carson Daly (NBC's "Last Call with Carson Daly") will host this year's event.

October 15, 2007 Wow. There's no way I could choose the winners from any of these categories! I can't wait to see who wins. All of those amazing swims pretty much sum up how dominant U.S. swimmers are. Submitted by: Avaholics87
October 15, 2007 Why aren't there any Paralympic athletes up for awards? Was Jessica Long's numerous World Records not good enough? C'mon USA Swimming. Get on the Ball!!! Australia, Canada and Great Britain are WAY ahead of you in recognizing ALL of the great swimmers from their respective countries. Submitted by: Dave D
October 16, 2007 Where's Dara?!?!?!? Submitted by: floater
October 19, 2007 I'm guessing Dara was left out because she didn't compete this year as part of the 2006-2007 National team. She has been named to the team for 2007-2008 though, so I'll be we see her name this time next year. Submitted by: laurenish
