Hawaii Splits with Arizona State Again (M: 169-112; W: 122-159)

HONOLULU, Hawaii, September 29. THE University of Hawaii split with Arizona State for the second day in a row as the Rainbow Warriors knocked off Arizona State, 169-112, and the Rainbow Wahine lost to ASU, 159-122, at the Duke Kahanamoku Aquatics Complex in a long course meter meet.

In the men's meet, Nicola Xella, Greg Wilson and Grzegorz Mroz each picked up a pair of wins in their respective races. Xella notched gold in the 100m breast (1:04.60) and 200m IM (2:14.69), while Wilson took the top spots in the 100m (56.18) and 200m (2:07.76) fly events. Mroz claimed the top spot in both the 200m free (1:57.31) and 400m free (4:14.20). Diver Magnus Frick claimed first place on the 1-meter (359.65) and 3-meter (413.60) springboard events.

For the women, UH won six events in the 15-event format. Brianna de Palezieux won both the 100m (1:16.32) and 200m (2:43.91) breast events. Diver Stephanie De Lima took first place on the 1-meter (262.70) and 3-meter (274.15) springboard events, while Emma Berry posted first-place finishes in the 400m free (4:32.67) and 800m free (9:24.92) swims.
