Chinese National Championships: Chen Yanyan Ups Title Count to Three -- September 26, 2007

CHONG QING, China, September 26. ACCORDING to Xinhua News Agency reporting, Chen Yanyan has now claimed three national titles at the Chinese National Championships held in Chong Qing. She won the women's 50-meter backstroke in 29.00.

The sprint back win gave her a backstroke sweep as she had already touched first in both the 100 (1:01.45) and 200 (2:12.68) distances.

In the women's 400 freestyle relay, the national team of Zhao Jing, Tang Yi, Wang Dan and Pang Jiaying took a hit after an early start by Pang on the anchor leg. A team from Zhejiang wound up benefiting from the disqualification with a 3:47.13 to win the event.

Yang Jieqiao won the women's 400 free in 4:10.67, while Jiao Liuyang captured the women's 100 fly in 59.17. Chen Zuo also won the men's 100 free in 50.10.
