Yugoslavia continued on its scoring tirade on Thursday, dispatching
Australia 10-4. With the win, Yugoslavia has scored 36 goals in three games
(12.0/per game).
Seven different players broke into the scoring column for Yugoslavia, who
scored two goals in every quarter except the fourth, where they scored four.
Both Danilo Ikodinovic, Petar Trbojevic, and Aleksandar Sapic all had two
goals apiece for Yugoslavia in the win. Goalkeeper Aleksandar Sostar notched
seven saves in goal for Yugoslavia.

Croatia staved off a late Italian rally to hold on to a 9-8 win in the
UPS Cup on Thursday.
Italy had the first strike late in the first quarter and led 1-0 until
Croatia evened it up on a score by Teo Dogas on the ensuing possession.
Dubravko Simenc gave Croatia the lead with 59 seconds to go in the first
quarter at 2-1. Simenc would finish with three goals.
Croatia led 9-7 in the last minute of the game, but with 14 seconds to
go, Italy's Alberto Angelini drilled his only goal of the day to make it 9-8.
Unfortunately, Italy did not get another possession, and lost, 9-8.
Croatian goalkeeper Frano Vican had a strong showing in the net,
collecting 10 saves.

Seven different players scored for the U.S. as coach John Vargas and
company trounced Team UPS, 14-3. Wolf Wigo's four goals led the U.S., while
teammates Tony Azevedo, Chris Humbert, Sean Kern, and Ryan Flynn scored two
apiece.
The real story might have been in the goal, where once-upon-a-time
teammates Sean Nolan and Chris Aguilera squared off head-to-head, each still
competing for a spot on the Olympic roster. Nolan won the battle in the stats
column, picking up 12 saves for Team USA, but Aguilera was equally impressive
for UPS, notching 10 on the night.
