Two Australian Masters Records Fall at Mandurah

PERTH, Western Australia August 16. FOR the second week of the current series of State distance swims, competitors met on Sunday morning at the Mandurah Aquatic Centre, 70km south of Perth. Two Australian records were broken.

Sally Bell of Claremont AUSSI Masters club broke the Australian 45-49 short course meter 200 backstroke record by 1.70 seconds with a split time of 2:41.04 in an 800 back swim that was slower than the Australian short course meter record mark she set the week before.

Bold Park AUSSI Masters' Vic Paul took the Australian 60-65 short course meter 800 backstroke record down by more than 21 seconds in a time of 13:02.75.
