Sean Leneave Wins Twice at Palo Alto Speedo Sectional

PALO ALTO, Texas, July 26. SEAN Leneave, representing The Woodlands Swim Team, left the deck with a pair of gold medals after the second night of long course meter competition at the Palo Alto Speedo Sectional.

Leneave started off with a hard-fought triumph over Connor Farber of Tiger Aquatics, 1:54.47 to 1:54.88, in the men's 200 free before controlling the men's 400 IM with a time of 4:34.51.

Closing out the men's titles, the North Texas Nadadores' quartet of Wil Singley, Jeff Hendricks, Chris Ginder and Drew Mays won the 800 freestyle relay in 7:54.70.

In women's action, Sherrill Thompson, 16, of the Dallas Mustangs won the 200 free in 2:04.32, while Vanessa Duenas of Tiger Aquatics touched first in the 400 IM in 5:03.39.

Thompson's teammates Maddie Steiner, Lauren Roth, Allison Arnold and Catia Weickgenant captured the 800 free relay title with a time of 8:35.64.
