Lochte Looking at Busy Schedule for Nationals

GAINESVILLE, Florida, June 22. ALTHOUGH his schedule remains subject to change, Ryan Lochte indicated in an interview with Swimming World Magazine that he'll tackle a hefty schedule at the United States Summer Nationals in Indianapolis. Lochte is coming off a five-medal showing at the World Championships in Melbourne that featured a world-record effort in the 200 backstroke.

Lochte said that he'll swim either the 200 individual medley or 400 I.M., but was unlikely to contest both medley disciplines. He indicated he'll race both backstrokes, the 100 butterfly, the 100, 200 and 400 freestyles and either the 100 or 200 breaststroke. If Lochte follows his plan, that would mean an eight-event schedule.
