Bluefish Swim Club Takes Boston Speedo Sectional Titles -- April 9, 2007

BOSTON, Massachusetts, April 9. LAST month, the Bluefish Swim Club claimed the combined, men's and women's team titles at the Boston Speedo Sectional held in Massachusetts.

In the combined race, Bluefish snared 991.5 points, while Peddie finished second with 779 points and Berkeley Aquatics took third with 502.5 points. Bluefish also won the women's (362.5 points) and the men's (629 points) meets.

Badger's Alex Forrester led all-comers at the Boston-held event with a trifecta. She won the 100 fly (54.49), 200 fly (1:59.01) and 100 free (50.74).

In other action, three women doubled up: Elizabeth Beisel (200 back – 1:56.52, 200 IM – 2:01.53), Laura Sogar (100 breast – 1:03.31, 200 breast – 2:15.71), and Ashley Steenvoorden (1000 free – 9:53.02, 1650 free – 16:32.40), while four men claimed a pair of titles: Pat Biggs (1000 free – 9:22.71, 1650 free – 15:39.41), Eric Ress (500 free – 4:29.60, 200 back – 1:49.24), Sam Wensman (100 breast – 56.51, 200 breast – 2:03.82) and Brian Wilson (200 IM – 1:50.20, 200 free – 1:40.31).
