SwimmingWorldMagazine.com Weekly Channel Recap: April 7, 2007

PHOENIX, Arizona, April 7. THE week following an incredible week of competition at the FINA World Championships still had plenty to write about at SwimmingWorldMagazine.com.

Libby Lenton decided to spark discussion throughout the online swimming community as she broke the women's 100-meter freestyle record with a 52.99 in a head-to-head relay leadoff against Michael Phelps as part of the mixed relay race at Duel in the Pool (which, the U.S. won for a third time.)

Publisher/CEO Brent Rutemiller kept busy with some SwimmingWorld.TV pieces in the aftermath of Worlds as well as captured Mark Schubert's press conference at Worlds on Swimming World Radio.

Boston Masters swimmer Karen Atkinson joined us for a week in "A Day in the Life", while YMCA Nationals took place.

Newsmaster intern Brian Savard remained on the beat with high school state championship coverage, while Swimming World Magazine began rolling out its media relations awards for swimming and diving coverage at the collegiate level.
