FINA Selects Shanghai for 2011 World Championships

MELBOURNE, Australia, March 24. FOLLOWING a FINA Bureau vote held in Melbourne, Australia at the FINA World Championships, the organization announced that Shanghai, China will host the 2011 FINA World Championships, the 14th edition of the series.

Shanghai beat out Doha, Qatar for the rights to host.

The next FINA World Championships will take place in Rome, Italy, from July 19 to Aug. 2, 2009.
