Kenyon Wins 28th Straight at Men’s NCAA Division III Championships

HOUSTON, Texas, March 17. KENYON College captured its 28th straight men's NCAA Division III Championship with a total tally of 570 points.

Denison finished second with 351 points, while Emory (318), Williams (305) and Gustavus Adolphus (225) placed third, fourth and fifth, respectively.

1650 freestyle
Kenyon's Eric Dunn won the distance event in 15:24.81, while Denison's Bryce Peterson placed second in 15:31.90 and Williams' Steve Spinelli took third 15:34.82.

200 backstroke
Denison's Adam Ulrich touched first in 1:48.00, while Emory's Alex Fleet (1:49.69) and Kalamazoo's Paul Ellis (1:50.50) took second and third, respectively.

100 freestyle
Grove City's Caleb Courage placed first in 44.36, while Kenyon's Joshua Mitchell (44.93) and Westminster's Ryan Trunk (44.93) tied for second.

200 breaststroke
Kenyon went 1-2-3 as Joseph Gosselar (1:59.38), Davis Zarins (1:59.78) and Alexander Stoyel (2:01.66) swept the top three spots.

200 butterfly
Carnegie Mellon's David Krzeminski won in 1:49.54, while Williams' Chris Millen (1:49.88) and Alex Wentworth-Ping (1:50.72) took second and third, respectively.

Three-Meter Diving
Occidental's Jon Dohring (531.00) and Robert Dohring (524.80) took the top two spots, while UC Santa Cruz' Adam Gutierrez placed third with 514.65 points.

400 freestyle relay
Denison's David Curtis, Lowell Byers, Bryce Peterson and John Geissinger hit the wall first in 2:59.63, while Kenyon's Blair Withington, Joshua Mitchell, Matthew Jacobssen and Marc Christian finished second in 2:59.92.
