Swimmers Dominate Academic All-America Honors Again -- April 19, 2000

April 18. WITH five of 15 selections, once again, swimmers dominate the list of the men's GTE Academic All-American athletes for the Fall-Winter season.
The five swimmers named to the first team are: Matt Busbee (Auburn), Zane DeWitz (Tennessee), Greg Reeves (Florida), Scott Van Epps (Pittsburgh) and Michael Windisch (Nebraska).
Swimmers also nabbed two spots on the second team and seven on the third team.
Second team selections are Tim Martin (Harvard) and Austin Ramirez (Virginia).
Named to the third team are Frank Byskov (American), Ray Fitzpatrick (Notre Dame), Bryan Jones (Texas), Alfred Mansour (Texas A&M), Brian McGillen (Delaware), Andy Norieka (Pacific) and Rikki Rickardsson (Denver).
