Three Double-Event Winners Highlight Wisconsin Division 2 State High School Meet

MADISON, Wisconsin, February 22. MCFARLAND edged Cedarburg 258-233 in the men's Wisconsin Division 2 State High School championship meet. Whitefish Bay took third with 194 points.

Whitnall senior Alex Haeger won both the 50 and 100 freestyle in times of 21.70 and 47.45, respectively.

Michael Schultz, a Martin Luther senior, touched out Whitefish Bay senior Tim Scanlan in the 200 freestyle by .04, winning with a 1:44.90 time. Schultz also captured the 500 (4:42.48).

Whitefish Bay senior Kevin Linsley took the gold medal in both the 200 IM (1:55.15) as well as the 100 breaststroke (58.66).

In the diving competition, Whitnall senior Zac Ranta won with a 436.25 score. Cedarburg took second and third with sophomore Will Mathee (375.00) and junior Connor Bian (362.40), respectively.
