G'day all,

I didn't sleep too well last night, so I woke up feeling a little thick and out of it. Today, the entire men's team went in for a wake up swim, and it was a good time for us all to relax and enjoy each others company.

Before I got in, I spent a bit of time with Kevin 'Karaoke' Swander and Heath 'Slick' Tameris talking about the upcoming meet and listening to what they had to say about preparation and what I can expect as a first timer at Big Tens.

My swim today was a 1000 any way I wanted. I put my fins on and really rolled through it trying to loosen up as best I can. It was also a good opportunity to bond with some of my other teammates that I don't get to spend as much time with as I'd like. I also had an interesting conversation with Alec 'Man Mountain' Haley and Justin 'Fly High' Peterfish about the impact of mental games on other swimmers.

Feeling pretty tired from a lack of a good night's sleep, I came home and took a nap before cleaning the apartment and doing some light stretching before getting involved in some creative art on roomy Steffan 'Foot Long' Troxel, which entailed writing 'Hoosiers' with a permanent marker all over his body. Steffan may or may not have condoned that action.

The rest of my evening was spent with Katie 'Marshall Law' Mitsch watching movies. These last couple of days, I have started to become more and more restless as we grow closer. I can't stop fidgeting and am struggling to sit still. I hope it can only mean one thing….I'm ready to race.

Hope you all had a great weekend and I'll speak to you tomorrow.
