Wright State Teams Shut Out Butler

DAYTON, Ohio, January 28. THE Wright State swimming and diving teams swept Butler to close out the regular season Sunday afternoon at the WSU Natatorium, the men winning 131-62 and the women 128-60.

The men recorded 10 first-place finishes out of 11 events, led by Micah Belew, who won both the 100 (47.92) and 200 (1:43.77) freestyle. Six other Raiders won individual events and WSU took both relays.

The women won all 11 events and had two double winners on the day in Tina Pandza with the 200 (1:58.64) and 500 (5:13.47) freestyle and Erin Reilly in the 50 freestyle (25.73) and 100 breaststroke (1:09.49)

With the two wins, the men finish with a dual meet record of 9-2 while the women end at 6-6.

The next action for Wright State will be the Horizon League Championships, hosted by UIC February 21-24.
