Slovakian Suspended -- November 25, 1996

From Reuter's New Service - FINA has suspended Slovakian swimmer Frantisek Zahradnik for four years after testing positive for anabolic steriods. "He has been punished by the Slovakian federation according to FINA rules and has received the maximum four-year suspension," FINA executive director Cornel Marculescu said. Zahradnik, 27, a freestyle and butterfly swimmer, produced the positive result last September at a routine test during training at the Bonn swimming club where he was based.
