Olympic Investigation -- November 22, 1996

As reported in The Arizona Rebublic: The International Olympic Committee may decide to retest potentially positive samples from four unidentified athletes who competed at the Atlanta Olympics. The samples, which detected anabolic steroids, were performed using a test known as a high resolution mass spectrometer. If the retest proves positive, the four athletes could be banned for four years from international competition. No word was given on whether any of the unidentified athletes was a swimmer.
