UC Irvine Men Win UC Irvine/ Ayres Hotel & Suites Distance Invitational

IRVINE, Calif. – The UC Irvine men's swim team and the Washington women's swim team each won the UC Irvine/Ayres Hotel & Suites Distance Invitational Saturday, both teams second meet title of the day at Anteater Aquatics Complex.

Freshman Lyndsay DePaul won both the 400 IM (4:26.88) and the 1650 free (17:17.48) to help the Anteaters finish second in the meet with 104 points. Washington won the meet with 141 points. Kim Jasmer won the 500 free for the Huskies with a time of 5:01.80.

On the men's side, junior Randall Tom won his fourth event of the day with a time of 4:03.04 in the 400 IM to help UCI win their fifth consecutive UCI/Ayres Hotel & Suites Distance Invitational with 212 points. Wyoming took second with 136 points.

The UC Irvine/Ayres Hotel & Suites Invitationals conclude Sunday with the Relay meet begining at 10:00 a.m. at Anteater Aquatics Complex.
