CAA Honors Weekly Performers

RICHMOND, Virginia, December 6. DELAWARE's Andrew Zinn (swimmer) and Old Dominion's Peter Stickl (diver) claimed the men's titles, while Delaware's Maryann Walker (swimmer) and Old Dominion's Jasmine Moore (diver) captured the women's weekly awards as announced by the Colonial Athletic Association on Tuesday.

Zinn notched a victory at the Loyola Invitational over the weekend in the 50y freestyle with a time of 21.22. He also managed place second place in the 400y medley relay (3:35.27), third in the 200y medley relay (1:39.13), third in the 400y freestyle relay (3:13.86), and fourth in the 100y freestyle (47.96) and the 800y freestyle relay (7:13.66).

Stickl tallied 18 points for his team by sweeping the diving competition at the George Washington University dual meet. Stickl was able to capture the win on the 1-meter board with a score of 254.70. He scored a 244.58 to win the 3-meter dive to helping the Monarch's in defeating George Washington.

In helping Delaware to a sweep over host Loyola, Marist, and Niagara at the Hounds/Loyola Invitational, Walker captured first place finishes in the 800y freestyle relay (7:51.21), 400y medley relay (3:59.16), 400y freestyle relay (3:37.92), 200y freestyle (1:55.34), and 200y freestyle relay (1:39.38). Walker also notched a second place in the 200y backstroke (2:10.28) and placed third in the 50y freestyle (25.02).

Moore led the Lady Monarchs in diving her entire rookie campaign and continues to lead the way in diving this year. Last weekend at the George Washington University dual meet, Moore took first place in both the 1- and 3-meter dives, scoring a 222.75 and a 255.60 respectively.
