2000 SEC Swimming and Diving Championships: Auburn Men and Georgia Women Lead After Day 3 -- February 19, 2000
Auburn, AL - Auburn men's team surged back ahead of Tennessee finishing day three of the SEC Swimming and Diving Championships at the James E. Martin Aquatics Center with a 509-point total, while the Georgia women increased their team lead in the competition finishing with 582 points.
The Tennessee men fell to second with 439.5 points, while Florida dropped to third with 422.5 points. Auburn's women remained in second increasing their point total to 463, while the Florida women stayed at third with 323 points.
Auburn freshman Pat Calhoun broke the pool record and edged out teammate Dave Denniston in the 100-yard breaststroke finals finishing with a time of 52.68, while the defending SEC Champion placed second posting a 52.80. The duo's times are the fastest times recorded in the nation this season.
