Former ASA President Booth Passes Away

LONDON, England, Aug. 16. FORMER Amateur Swimming Association (British Swimming) President Harry Booth passed away recently at the age of 90.

Booth, the ASA president in 1987, was a life member of Bolton Swimming Club, which he joined in 1950 and went on to serve in almost every office.

He also served as president of the Manchester, Bolton, Central Lancashire and Lancashire County Associations and Northern Counties and was secretary of the Northern Counties PRO until just six years ago.

He also served as the former president and Honorary Life member of the North Lancashire Swimming and Water Polo Association.
