Willott Sets Age Group Record at British NAG Championships

PONDS FORGE, Sheffield, July 30. AIMEE Willott set a 13 age group record of 4:55.17 in the girls 400-meter IM, as she won her third gold medal on day three of the Cheestrings ASA National Age Group Championships in Ponds Forge, Sheffield on Saturday.

Two girls completed the freestyle double on Saturday. In the 12 category Sophie Ward followed her 100-meter freestyle gold on day two with the 200-meter freestyle Saturday in a time of 2:08.92.

Meanwhile, Rebecca Turner completed her double in the 13 200-meter freestyle with a winning time of 2:06.14 to add to her 100-meter freestyle title.

Triple medalist from day two, Matthew Johnson made it four gold medals with the boys 11 200-meter butterfly by touching in 2:28.76.

Gallica leads the medal count with 6 gold, 4 silver and 2 bronze. City of Leeds just behind with 6 gold, 3 silver and 2 bronze and in third is Newburn with 4 gold, 3 silver and 6 bronze.
