Dlugonski Named Assistant Coach at Penn State

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa., June 23. DEE Dlugonski was named assistant swimming coach at Penn State University on Friday. Dlugonski replaces former assistant Nittaya Klim, who accepted the head women's swimming coach position at the University of Akron in April.

After earning nine All-American certificates and seven Big Ten titles as a Nittany Lion, Dlugonski spent the last year as a graduate assistant at the University of Connecticut. Last year, the Huskies had a dual meet record of 5-2-1 and also finished first at the Terrapin Cup and sixth at the Big East Championships.

Dlugonski finished her career with six school records and three conference standards. A three-time team captain, Dlugonski led PSU to both the 2002 and 2005 Big Ten titles.
