Women’s Crop Strong for U.S. Water Polo Training Camp

LOS ALAMITOS, CALIF., JUNE 1. THE U.S. Water Polo Women's Senior and Junior National Teams aimed to fill 10-12 spots at their 2006 open tryouts, but ended up with a full pool of talent and invited 17 athletes to attend the National Team Training Camp from June 2-4 in Los Alamitos, Calif. These athletes were selected in addition to the 40 athletes who were previously invited to attend the camp.

The June 2-4 training camp will determine the Senior National A Team (15-18 athletes), the Senior National B Team (14-15 athletes) and the Junior National Team (18 athletes). Athletes chosen to be on the Junior National Team training roster may also be selected to be part of the Senior National A or B team.

The following athletes were invited to the June 2-4 training camp based on their performance at the May 20-21 tryouts:
