USA National Polo Team to Visit USOC for Team Building

Men's National Water Polo Team to Visit USOC

LOS ALAMITOS, CALIF., May 2, 2006 – The Men's Senior National Water Polo
Team will visit the United States Olympic Training Center in Colorado
Springs, Colo., for a week-long training session on May 5-11, 2006.

The primary purpose for the trip is to build team comradery, train in the
USOC's world-class pool and facilities and become acquainted with the
workings of the USOC. During the stay, the team will also take advantage of
the Olympic Training Center facilities including nutritional resources,
sport science center and the pool's video equipment. The athletes will also
have an opportunity to meet the United States Olympic Committee Chairman
Peter Ueberroth and additional representatives of the USOC.

The United States Air Force Academy has arranged for the National Team to
take part in an exhibition match at the Air Force Academy in Colorado
Springs, Colo., on May 7 at 10 a.m.

"The USOC has been a great partner and I feel it is important to showcase
our best athletes in front of them," said Men's National Team Head Coach
Rick Azevedo. "However, the primary purpose of the trip is to build team
unity in our effort to get the Men's National Team back on the podium."
