Ouachita Sweeps Henderson State in Final Home Meet

ARKADELPHIA. February 6. THE Ouachita TigerSharks and Lady TigerSharks combined to win all 23 swimming events in a dual sweep of Henderson State at Waggoner Pool. The TigerSharks won by a score of 163-70 and the Lady TigerSharks topped Henderson State 163-49

The meet started off strong for Ouachita, with the women's team of Sarah Watson, Jenny Rocchio, Lauren Vickroy and Kate Patterson breaking the pool record in the 400 medley relay.

The men followed with a pool record of their own in the same event as Chris Achey, Val Ladrat, Jon Manning and Paul Frankenberger teamed up to break a 23-year old record set in 1983 at the NAIA National Championship meet.

Ouachita completely dominated the meet from start to finish as there were only three individual events in which Ouachita did not finish in at least first and second places. Ouachita took the first three spots in several events and had the first four finishers in the men's 100 free.

The TigerSharks and Lady TigerSharks had a swimmer place first in every swimming event on the night whether it was relay or an individual event.

Ouachita closed out the meet by winning the 400 free relay in both the men's and women's side. Both the TigerSharks and Lady TigerSharks also finished in third place with HSU sandwiched in between to outscore HSU 26-8 in those two events alone.
