Georgia Women’s Swimming Signs Julia Stowers

ATHENS, GA – Georgia head coach Jack Bauerle announced the swimming program’s first signee of the early signing period as Julia Stowers of West High School in Knoxville, Tenn. officially joined the Bulldogs class of 2004.

Stowers, a nine-time high school All-American and member of the United States’ Pan American Games Team, was the 1997 and 1998 Female Swimmer of the Year for the state of Tennessee. The 1998 USA Swimming Academic All-American was also a member of the 1997 USA Swimming National Junior Team, which competed in Malmo, Sweden, and she owns 14 different Southeastern Swimming Age Group freestyle records.
