Coach Busbey Honored -- November 10, 1999

Cleveland State University has named its natatorium the Robert F. Busbey natatorium in recognition of Coach Busbey's 50-plus years of athletic achievement and service to Cleveland State. "As a student-athlete, coach, teacher, administrator and benefactor, no single individual has impacted Cleveland State University athletics more than Bob Busbey," said John Konstantinos, athletic director, at the ceremony honoring Busbey.

In addition to honoring Busbey, the event celebrated a successful fund-raising effort for the Robert F. Busbey Scholarship Fund for Swimming. To date, more than $340,000 has been raised, including $125,000 in matching funds from Busbey, himself. More than 90 percent of the donors are CSU swimming alums.
