Swimming World TV to Air Next Week

Phoenix, Ariz. January 6. SPORTS Publications International, publishers of Swimming World Magazine and SwimmingWorldMagazine.com, set January 10th, 2006 as the target date for the launch of SwimmingWorld.TV.

Since December 22nd, when Sports Publications International released previews of SwimmingWorld.TV, more than 10,000 viewers have downloaded the promotional video.

"Over the past two weeks we have worked with focus groups and conducted surveys that found over 95% of our download audience have either DSL or Broadband connections allowing for the viewing of this media", commented Brent Rutemiller, CEO for Sports Publications.

"More importantly, over 83% found the quality to be acceptable to excellent with 92% of that group saying that they would view SwimmingWorld.TV content on a weekly basis.

"This exciting new vehicle furthers our goal of providing the most comprehensive media coverage in the world through the use of cutting edge technology. It will truly revolutionize the access that swimming fans and coaches have to their sport. We are committed to helping the sport grow, and we believe that promoting swimming through a visual format will help it grow exponentially", concluded Rutemiller.

SwimmingWorld.TV will provide regular digital programming using an “On Demand” format. The swimming content will range from profiles of the top swimmers in the world, to instructional videos to help improve stroke technique, to in-studio analysis of current events in the world of swimming.
