Specht Sets 400m Freestyle World Record

In case there should be any thoughts of Bill Specht’s early retirement from recording breaking, he broke the world record for the 400m freestyle (short-course) for men 40-44 at a Masters meet in Orlando last weekend, reports his coach, George Bole.

His time, 4:09.10, just edged Hess Yntema’s listed world and American mark of 4:09.86.
