Wet or Dry, Wilkens is a Winner

November 10. IN Washington, anxious Republicans and Democrats were glued to their TVs, as they awaited the outcomes of gubernatorial races in Virginia and New Jersey, the mayoral contest in New York and key initiatives in Texas and California.

But in Middletown, New Jersey, most everyone was focused on the township council race. And the winner, the #1 vote-getter, was… 29-year-old Republican Tom Wilkens, with 10,846 votes.

Winning is a tradition with Wilkens. A 17-time US national champion, he was captain of Stanford's NCAA championship team, an Olympic bronze medalist in 2000 in the 200 IM and captain of the USA's 2003 World Championship team.
