Dalbey Recovering -- September 10, 1999

Troy Dalbey, 30, head coach of the Phoenix Masters Swim Club and a 1988 double Olympic gold medalist, is recovering from an operation to remove a cancerous tumor on his lip. The tumor was caused by excessive exposure to the sun. Quipped Dalbey: "I'm the poster boy for what not to do. Coaches and swimmers who are out in the sun should be sure to protect themselves everyday."
