INDIANAPOLIS, Indiana, March 21. ARIZONA'S Samantha Pickens looked like she could do go wrong on the one-meter diving springboard. The junior netted 9's from the judges with regularlity, for a total tally of 348.45 points and the NCAA event title.

Picken's win marks Arizona's first title in the event's history, but keeps the title in the hands of the Pacific 12 Conference after USC's Victoria Ishimatsu topped the event last year with 354.10 points.

Minnesota's Margaret Keefer just missed becoming only the second Golden Gopher to win the one-meter, instead settling for second place with 338.20 points. Kelci Bryant is the only diver from Minnesota to win the one-meter, having posted 349.65 points in 2011. Tennessee's Jodie McGroarty kept the Big Orange's big night going with a third-place tally of 335.75.

Massachusetts' Michaela Butler (333.45), Missouri's Loren Figueroa (327.55), Tennessee's Tori Lamp (312.10), Texas' Maren Taylor (308.95) and Texas A&M's Rebecca St. Germain (306.85) also competed in the championship finale.
